The Wedding Dress Project serves a diverse range of people through it's participatory art workshops:

Each workshop with The Wedding Dress Project includes open dialogue, creative writing and art making. Deconstruction objects may include donated wedding dresses, tuxedos, prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses, gendered work attire, or clothing that participants bring to the workshops.
Wedding Dress Deconstruction Objectives:
•Help victims of relationship violence cope with and grow beyond their experiences
•Help female abusers reflect on circumstances and choices that lead to abuse and move toward change.
•Help teens envision and engage in dialogue about what healthy relationships look like.
•Help all participants learn to recognize early warning signs of domestic abuse.
Tuxedo Deconstruction Workshop Objectives:
•To engage participants in a dialogue around societal expectations of a man, and how the individual sees himself within that view with regard to his own actions, thoughts and feelings.
•To engage participants in a creative experience that calls into question concepts of strength, masculinity, personal responsibility, transformation, innovation, self-respect, and respect for others.
•To demonstrate the idea that transformation is possible through self-motivated inspiration and effort.
Gendered Clothing Deconstruction Workshop Objectives:
•Change old perceptions and expectations concerning gender roles and responsibilities.
•Help participants to be empowered through art making, giving voice to the need for social change and global acceptance, beginning with acceptance of the self.
